BeachStone Doormat

The Perfect Office #151

Add creative, unique décor to your home. Each Beach Stone piece is created by hand using river rocks that are washed and polished before affixing to plastic netting. (at 7 Gadgets)

Richards’ Trunk Desk

The Perfect Office #151

Timothy Oulton designed this beautiful desk in his workshop, inspired by a worn but obviously custom-made steamer trunk. The owner had been Tom Richards, hence the name Richards’ Trunk Desk. Oulton dismantled the original luggage to learn every detail of construction, and incorporated those details into this desk. Wooden frames are wrapped in water-resistant beige hand-waxed canvas, with hammered finishing nails, aged bamboo reinforcing strips , leather handles and corner protector pieces, brass luggage latches, canvas-lined drawers – all carefully aged for an antique look. Pivot Power Mini

The Perfect Office #151

ivot Power Mini is a bedside champion for home and travel. Plug it into any outlet and it will instantly provide you with two standard outlets, arranged so you can plug in even the most bulky of adapters, and two USB ports. Now you can have a lamp, and alarm clock, your phone, and your tablet handy by your bedside, getting all nice and charged. It’s also a must-have for hotel rooms when there are never, ever enough outlets. Pivot Power Mini even folds up to fit easily in your suitcase or laptop bag. (at Think Geek)

The Perfect Office #151

There’s elegance in simplicity, and with this DIY, multi-configuration lamp, you can decide what kind of elegant simplicity is just right for you. Dino Sanchez’s lamp kit aims to give you that pleasure of putting things together with your hands without having to sift through a bunch of non-nonsensical IKEA-like instructions. With just a Phillips-head screwdriver and 10 minutes, you can put this stark stunner together just how you like, and then take it apart and do it again if you want to. The kit comes with a solid-oak base, nickel-plated stand pieces, and all the guts you need for a working light. You can pick it up for $75 and then hop right into putting the thing together. Think of it like LEGOs for design-minded adults. (at Gizmodo)

Makey Makey

The Perfect Office #151

The Makey Makey is a brilliantly simple way of getting anyone (young or old) excited about electronics. It contains three basic elements: the Makey Makey circuit board; alligator clips, to connect the board to everyday objects; and a USB cable, to connect with any computer. That combination allows you to transform almost anything into a “key” that tells your computer what to do, whether that’s typing a letter or controlling a game character. (at 7 Gadgets)

The Croon Audio Original

The Perfect Office #151

When it comes to quality table top wireless speaker systems, Android and Windows Phones are generally ignored. Makers tend to prefer building accessories for the iPhone, and with that, often support Airplay over DLNA or even Bluetooth. Enter the Croon Audio Original. This $199 tablet top speaker utilizes Bluetooth connectivity for near-universal compatibility. This gorgeous speaker should work with everything from an Android phone to a Windows notebook to a Palm Treo. Two 2.5-inch full range drivers rest behind the grill and are capable of 15w per channel thanks to a class D amp. There are dual 3.5mm jacks, one for piping audio in and the other for exporting it to another audio device. There is even a full size USB port (5V DC) for charging a device. (at TechCrunch)
